Policy exclusions

  • Wilful misconduct or fraud by the insured
  • Gradual deterioration, wear and tear, inherent vice
  • Sanctioned parties, goods or jurisdictions
  • Losses outside the agreed territorial scope

Underwriting requirements

  • Completed proposal form and declared values
  • Independent valuation or certification where relevant
  • Security, storage and transit protocols
  • Loss history for the last five years
  • KYC, sanctions and beneficial ownership checks

Claims procedure

  1. 01Notify Renfield as soon as reasonably possible after discovery
  2. 02Take reasonable steps to prevent further loss and preserve evidence
  3. 03Provide the documentation requested by the claims team
  4. 04Cooperate with any appointed loss adjuster
  5. 05Assessment and any settlement follow the policy terms and insurer approval
